Meet Dr. Sid Parker
Dr. Sid Parker was born in Augusta, Georgia and received his Doctor of Dentistry degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1995. While attending dental school he received the Prosthodontics Award of Excellence and traveled to Honduras for dental missionary work. He is a member of the Georgia Dental Association and American Dental Association.
Dr. Parker started private practice in 1996 in St. Marys, GA. In 2000, Dr. Parker received the Woody Oakes Award as the most outstanding young dentist in North America. His lifetime commitment to dental education has allowed him to receive training from some of the leading dentists in America including Dr. Pete Dawson, Dr. Jack Turbyfill, and Dr. John Kois.
In 2004, Dr. Parker, along with his cousin, Dr. Jeff Pennington opened Parker & Pennington Dentistry in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He brings to his practice his skills in cosmetics, managing bite disorders, clear braces with invisalign, custom dentures, and implants restorations. He is widely recognized for his ability to restore complex dental cases.
Dr. Parker resides with his wife and their two children. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, scuba diving, golf and family vacations.
Meet Dr. Jeff Pennington
Dr. Jeff Pennington began his dental career at Radenco Dental Lab while attending high school in Millen, GA. There, he developed his appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship of tooth replacement and restoring teeth to their natural form and function. After high school, Dr. Pennington continued his dental laboratory education at Tri W Dental and Lanier Prosthetic while pursuing his BS at Georgia Southern University. These early influences fueled his desire to become a dentist and help people keep their teeth healthy and functioning throughout their lifetimes.
Dr. Pennington earned his DMD from the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry in 1996 and immediately began his General Dentistry Residency at Scott AFB in Illinois. While serving his country there, at Shaw AFB (SC) and Offut AFB (NE), he received advanced training in sedation and complex dental procedures. Dr. Pennington subsequently began an association with the Nebraska Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry in Omaha, focusing on state-of-the-art cosmetic procedures.
In 2003, Dr. Pennington joined his cousin, Dr. Sid Parker, at their practice in St. Mary's GA, and subsequently at their practice here in Jacksonville Beach in 2004.
Dr. Pennington continues to pursue high caliber post-doctoral education through the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, The Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. John Kois Center for Excellence, and the Misch International Implant Institute. He maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Camden Dental Society.
Dr. Pennington is the father of one daughter who he loves to spend his spare time with. His other interests include cycling, fishing, and golf.
