Invisalign®
Invisalign® is an orthodontic treatment that uses clear aligner trays to slowly transition teeth into the desired position. This popular treatment option is metal free and assists with overcrowding, gaps between teeth, and bite issues. Invisalign® treatment can be completed in as little as 3-12 months.
Steps for Treatment
Before Treatment
During your consultation we take extensive X-rays and impressions of your teeth. Using these images, we create a treatment plan that will map out the phases of treatment. You will be able to see a digital rendition of your mouth transition from its current state to what it will look like on the final day of treatment. We will also be able to determine an approximate length of treatment.
Starting Treatment
At the start of your treatment, you will be provided with a number of Invisalign® trays and given instructions on when and how to wear the aligners. We will review how to insert the aligner trays and how to remove them for eating and cleaning your teeth. Just a reminder, it is recommended to wear the trays for approximately 22 hours per day.
Additional Information
Following our instructions, you will replace the aligner trays every 7 to 14 days, depending on your treatment plan. Visits to our office for maintenance will take place every 6 to 12 weeks. During this time, we will monitor your progress.
