Dental Implants

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a natural-looking and functioning artificial tooth that is used to replace a missing tooth. Dental implants are comprised of three parts: a titanium post that replaces the root, a crown that replaces the missing tooth, and an abutment that connects the two parts.

Replacing Your Teeth

If you’re missing multiple teeth, each missing tooth could be replaced with a dental implant. However, if you have quite a few teeth missing, the cost can add up. In this case, an alternative is to use a dental bridge that uses implants to support one or more of the porcelain “teeth.” A dental bridge supported by implants is a fixed (non-removable) restoration and acts and feels very much like natural teeth.

If you need to replace all your teeth, our doctors will evaluate your individual case and work with you to choose the best option for replacing your teeth, keeping your budget in mind. Options can include implant-supported removable dentures, an implant-supported fixed denture, or a series of implant-supported dental bridges.
