Dental mouth guards are acrylic oral appliances used to protect teeth from damage during sporting activities or from heavy grinding at night (bruxism).
Dental mouth guards may be purchased over-the-counter, however, these stock oral appliances are not adjustable and provide very little actual protection. In addition, stock mouth guards are bulking, making breathing and talking more difficult.
