Your Dentist Is Your Friend!
At Parker and Pennington Dentistry, we understand that some patients have had unpleasant dental experiences in the past, and others are nervous at the thought of a dental procedure. It’s perfectly normal to feel anxious about visiting the dentist. No matter what a patient is feeling or why, we are here to help. Our mission is to give our patients the best possible dental care so they can live healthier lives, free from discomfort.
We’re Here to Help, Not Harm
Everyone on the Parker & Pennington Dentistry team understands the struggles of patients with dental fear. They are more than prepared to provide gentle and effective care to every patient they see. Their only goal is to make sure patients stay healthy, starting with their teeth and mouth.
Our patient-first approach ensures that each person who visits receives the time and attention they need to get the care they deserve. If a patient is fearful or nervous, we will go the extra mile to make them comfortable and ease their anxiety.
“Care” Is the Operative Word
Our patients deserve a dental care team that cares about them, not just how quickly they can get patients out of the office. When a patient visits us for oral healthcare, our team spends time getting to know them first. Then, the doctor examines their teeth and mouth for signs of oral health problems, including:
- Tooth decay
- Gum disease
- Broken, chipped, or cracked teeth
- Uncharacteristic wear
- Bite misalignment
Hopefully, there’s nothing to find, but if the doctor does see something concerning, he will explain the issue and make a treatment recommendation to take care of it in the most comfortable and convenient way for the patient.
Once we’ve created the patient’s personalized treatment plan, they are welcome to ask as many questions as they need to feel comfortable moving forward. We believe in open communication and taking our time to ensure every patient understands and feels confident in their treatment plan.
Be Comfortable With Us
If a patient needs a little extra help to get the treatment they need, we have options, including sedation. We are happy to discuss the benefits of sedation dentistry with our patients and work with them to make dental treatment more comfortable and less frightening.
If you haven’t seen us in a while, we’d love to welcome you back for an appointment! Please contact our office, located in Jacksonville Beach, FL, and one of our friendly team members will get your next appointment scheduled.
