Does the thought of coming to our office make you nervous? The problem occurs when patients avoid hygiene examinations and recommended dental treatments, exposing themselves to greater dental problems in the future. Your comfort is our top priority, and we want to help you conquer your fear and nerves and get the dental care you deserve. Helpful Ways to Relax Before Visiting Our Office
If you are someone who gets nervous or fearful before you visit our office, we want to help you relax and get through your needed examination or treatment. We know that sometimes it’s easier said than done when being told how to relax. We want you to know that your comfort is extremely important to us. We do our best to make our office a warm and welcoming place for you. To help you relax, we offer warm blankets, supportive pillows, and noise cancelling headphones to block out the sounds of the office. You are welcome to listen to your favorite music, sit back, and relax.
Before visiting our office, there are additional measures you can take to relax. We suggest scheduling your appointment at a time that is least stressful. We do not recommend scheduling your appointment after a long day at work. We also recommend avoiding caffeine and foods with a high sugar content because they can raise your heartrate.
If you have extreme fear or are receiving a more extensive treatment such as an extraction, we offer oral sedation and nitrous oxide. Both options allow our patients to relax and receive the needed treatment.
If you are someone who gets nervous when visiting our office, please express your concerns when you call to schedule your appointment. Your comfort is our top priority, and we want to do everything we can to help you feel at ease while getting the dental treatment you need. We look forward to seeing you soon in our office located in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
