Learn More About One-Visit Root Canal Therapy
At Parker & Pennington Dentistry, we want to do all we can to help our patients restore their oral health. If patients visit our office with a problem with their teeth or mouth, we will do all we can to diagnose the problem and create a treatment plan that is best for your long-term oral health. One treatment we may recommend is a root canal. This treatment often has a bad reputation because of the way it is depicted in movies and television shows. Following treatment, patients are often surprised at how easy the process was.
One-Visit Root Canal Therapy
We know that many patients are intimidated by this treatment, so we work hard to make the treatment as quick and painless as possible. We do this using the most advanced treatment methods as well as thorough, painless anesthesia. Patients appreciate that we can complete the procedure in one office visit.
Signs You May Need a Root Canal
We are passionate about our patients regularly visiting our office for hygiene examination appointments and cleanings. During these visits, we look for any problem areas in the mouth and monitor them at each appointment to determine if and when treatment is needed. When regular visits are delayed or postponed, the likelihood of needing a more involved treatment increases. A root canal is the last treatment we will recommend before a tooth extraction is needed. If you are between appointments and begin experiencing any of the following symptoms, we recommend visiting our office as soon as possible:
- Redness and swelling around the gumline
- Spontaneous pain that seems to have no reason
- Recurring sensitivity when eating or drinking hot or cold foods
- Chipped or cracked teeth
- Discomfort in teeth that have previous fillings
If you are in Jacksonville Beach, FL or the surrounding area and experiencing any of the warning signs mentioned above or any discomfort in one of your teeth, please contact our office as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. We want to help save your teeth!
